Jumpy Librarian!

I got a few paints and things the other day and wanted to try them out, I had this half painted Libby conversion who I was debating putting in my list, so he and his force sword and gold bits was as good a candidate as any!

The sword was a base of Waagh Flesh, then I started adding Warpstone Glow into the mix to build up. Then White Scars white started adding to the mix. Along the way I did the odd tactical wash of Drakenhof Nightshade (god I love this colour!) this made the green so much richer!
Finished it with 'ArdCoat as an experiment!

His gold was a nice experiment: Base of Tin Bitz, then layered Gehanna's Gold. Then washed with Drakenhof Nightshade (told you I love it).
After that, an incredibly light drybrush with Necron Compound, with a touch of warpstone added to the lightest areas as a glow from the sword, but also just to add a bit of colour to the gold (gold is never yellow/orange!).
This just made it look like a really realistic solid metal, and I'm rather happy with it!

Oh and the Michael Jackson vambrace/gauntlet.. weeeell I just wanted to do some cool stuff, and seeing as they are different arm pieces (one from the Sanguinary Guard, one from normal marines) I figured it could be some Holy relic?! :-P
